Donnie and Bethany both share a South Carolina heritage and a lifelong commitment to land stewardship and self-sufficiency.

Bethany's background was shaped by her upbringing on a Pennsylvania Dutch farm. Professionally, she studied and has a consulting career in Emergency Management & Disaster Preparedness; Fields that fuel her passion for a self-reliant lifestyle. 

Donnie is a South Carolina native, an Army Veteran, and a lab research professional.  He is a self-taught craftsman, who manages the essential infrastructure of the property. Together, they are dedicated stewards of the land, focused on curating creativity and self-reliance through shared life experiences. Since Donnie met Bethany in 2021, they have been working hard to turn their dream into a reality at the Watershed homestead.
